I'm sure you'll have heaps of fun.
Once you get going and start finding things you'll want to up grade to the Ave 250, I'm sure.
I'm in the USA so I can't comment on MDing in then UK. I hear theres lots of good stuff
being found there.

Have fun!

Watch the video and dig everything until you figure out the signals, its a great hobby! With every treasure comes alot of hard work and trash!

Welcome to the forum!:bouncy:This is a wonderful community and a great place to share info.:wiggle:Welcome to the hobby of metal detecting! Feel free to ask for advice at anytime. There are many knowledgeable and helpful detectorists willing to help. I've never used the Ace 150, but I can tell ya' that my wife kicks my tail with her Ace 250 almost everytime we go out huntin'!:twodetecting: I imagine it's basically like the Ace 250 minus the pinpoint mode and a couple of factory set search modes. I suggest you use the search tool on this forum and read as much info on the Ace 250 that you can. Also, practice, practice, practice and HAVE FUN!:biggrin:Best of luck to ya" Happy Hunting!:)

BTW check out the Garrett pro-pointer.
Will help you imensely in finding your target in the hole.
A must... and once you have the pinpointer you'll never
want to leave home without it. You'll wonder how
you ever got along without it.

Yes i will definately check out the pinpointer, i took the ace out today for its first little test and pinpointing is a bit tricky, but i shall no doubt get the hang of it. I managed to fine a few pence and a dog i.d disc so all is not lost haha. at least i know its working. Thanks again

Thanks metalhead, been out today and it was fun, if not a little tricky. but im all the more determined now. going to do a beach run tomorrow, so it will be nice to see what that throws up. Katz suggested a pro-pointer so im definately going to look into that. Thanks again
