Actually got out for some dirt digging...

Went to a nearby State park yesterday and tried hitting a different area. My first target was a deep IH. Not sure of the date but I think it's a 1905 (it's pretty toasty). My next target (within about 15 mins of the first) was a well worn 1916 Merc, so I was thinking I might be into something REALLY good. Not too long after that a '42 Merc. Unfortunately, it was slow going from there with just a couple of wheaties and some clad. Found a very deep chain of some sort though... It's around 12" long and looks like might be brass; not sure. I'll see if I can get some pics of it. I've gotten 5 silver (3 mercs / 2 Rosies) out of this part in two visits. Not too bad for around hear

see ya

Sounds like you did pretty good, congradulations on your finds.:clapping:

sounds like there will be more keepers coming out of there! Congrats bro!

Congrats, Joe, on getting out to do some :detecting: and for the silver and IH! Sounds like good territory to keep on hunting! :clapping: God Bless! Betty

Supposed to really kick in tonight and tomorrow. We're looking at 10 to 14 inches of the stuff. I don't mind snow that much but it sure makes going to and from work a pain! Driving isn't bad (for me) but I sure do worry about other people. You can't believe how people drive around here. The people with 4 wheel drives always think that they are exempt from the laws of physics

Oh, saw a BIG Hummer the other day with a funny license plate... "FEED ME" :) I bet!
