Advice on how to hunt the sidelines .................

Ivan

New member
.................of soccer/football fields, with my G2. Need various ideas.....eg which coils would you use.....what's a good disc setting.... etc etc. I'm sure that there's more than one way to skin this cat. What has worked for you? Thanks.

simples LOL

no but really disc at where you want to dig and use the fisher 5" coil and dig those nice pops

most under rated set up around have 5 coils for the F19 , GBP and in trash it really is hard to beat that little fisher coil it doesn't miss much !! I know all sites are different but really a shallow trash coin killer.

What are you looking for buddy? Clad rings just wondering?

Gold falls in the same conductivity range as foil to pull tabs. So if your looking for gold you'll be digging a lot of junk. Clads easy just dig high vdi numbers. I'd use the stock 11" or a 5" coils depending on trash & what your after. HH

Do a small area at a time and expect to dig aloooot.
As you clean the ground up you will have a few good finds but open the older deeper ground up for older coins,if the area is an older field.

Go to the field when there is a game. Check out where the people are, where they put their bags, what route they take too and from their cars. Come back with the 5" coil and concentrate on those areas, if there isn't a lot of trash use the bigger coil. These detectors hit hard on gold. I set my disc at 40-45 normally. Even stud earrings give a good signal when they are shallow. Good luck.

My sidelines are very trashy, I use The 5 inch coil and for just (coins only) I dig only the high numbers.

Now for jewelry Hunting.....well patience is needed here because of so many pull tabs.....but it can be very rewarding.

All this talk got me itching. So I went out today and hunted some sidelines. Gold and silver. The gold bug pro produces. Sorry no pix. Keep trying its out there.

Gold and silver, but no pictures? Copper and aluminum more likely! :pulltab:
Seriously, at least say gold and silver what- ring, coin fillings or ... what?

I found lots of the aluminum also. My computer doesn't edit pictures down small enough to put them up. Chromebook

Thank you I can go to sleep now!
Way cool!
