Hi Folks, I'm so new to detecting & positioning that I'm still really at the concept & research stage. Whilst I'm still mulling over what detector to get I can certainly see the dimensional support a good electronic co-ordinates compass could provide.
What I want to do is take historical co-ordinate records to locate a particular area to search for relics, & then record the exact/near exact site co-ordinates for what I find within that area; virtually a circle within a circle record keep. Whilst I live in Oz, I would be hunting in northern France, so ready access to electronic localised maps must be a feature. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated, & if you could throw in a suggestion on a very good relic detector it would also be welcome too.

Don't know about the gps, I also am looking for one. But the f-75 as a relic detector, I do know of. The f-75-LTD even better.
