After several lousy hunts where I didn't find squat I finally got lucky..

Hit a school a few blocks from my house and didn't find squat in the playground except the one, lonely, Presidential dollar. Then I hit the ballfield and found the rest until pouring rain drove me off. Found three quarters and two dimes in one hole. Hard telling what else I might have picked up if it hadn't of rained. I'll try again on a better day.

Who is carrying all those dollar coins where you live? Does the mass transit system use them? Glad to see the weather is finally letting you get out.

Chris

For one thing the Post Office gives them out in change and their stamp machines give back dollar coins for your change.

Very nice Unk Willy nice little pocket spill.

I think the Feds are really trying hard to push these new dollar coins into circulation. If they're dropped and lost with the same frequency as quarters, well that would be a sweet thing:spin:. I'm not much of clad hunter myself but I've seen some pretty healthy piles of quarters from one outing posted on this forum. If those were piles of dollars I think I would consider changing gears.

Hey, that's cool. We haven't found any of those yet. Neat find. Good hunt!

Good find.
They need to take the paper dollar out and put some of those coins to replace it.

Yeah I wish they would replace the dollar and five dollar with coins then detecting would get interesting. As long as they print the bills people are going to hoard the coins. I spent some at the store the other day and the cashier didn't even know what they were. They minted over a billion of the Sagagaweas but try to find one in circulation.

Do you recall what it came up as on the target ID?

Same as quarter or some where else?

I detect some busy ball parks and who knows I may have to keep my eye out for these puppies!

To tell the truth I don't remember but I'll check it out for you. That's the first one with the MH and I'm still trying to figure out all its quirks..I'm from the old school and don't rely a whole lot on the display. If it sounds good and sizes out decent I dig it.
