Makes sense that people would lose stuff around a basketball court, all that jumping up and down.
Maybe now that you've got the newer coins out of there you can go back and try to get some deeper older coins?

Surprisingly I would suggest you work out at least 25feet from the court edge (if you can). Looking at a lot of older photos people back then set their gym bags back fairly far. Also work the path towards parking areas.
Might not be old but indicates not really hunted before very seriously.
