AIR TEST ON WOT COIL & MUSKETEER

performed an air test today on the musketeer and the 15"WOTcoil , now some say thear is no differance in depth but i say the WOT is way deeper in all metal a morgan silver daller 15" a nickle 12.5" and a 5 daller gold coin 1/10thOZ smaller than a dime 13" some will say well that is air test , WELL i can peg a dime in ground 10" and still have the coil 2" obove ground ,. Now today i did some relic hunting in the farm feild and hit a bolt at 15" and a bent nail THE BAD NEWS in disq you will lose depth that is i can only hit a dime at 9" if i swing fast and a qurter at 11 good sound so if you are considering a WOT it is deeper and that is tip to tip not just in the center that is in all metal , Gunnar

I absolutely love the WOT on my Musky Advantage... in good soil yesterday I pulled a 2" by 3" flat brass plate at 20". Most coin shaped objects I can hit to 12" with nice crisp audio. I was shocked to pull a tiny sliver of copper about the size of a 1/3 of a match stick at 6"... I almost couldn't find it in the hole. Now in my book, for a 15" coil to be that sensitive to tiny objects at a depth like that is just incredible!! I wouldn't trade my Musky for the world...

Imagine if you ,my preveouse detectors could not get past 6"when i tried this muskey i was shock, and now they dont make it anymoor and i do not know of a good replacement for the muskey but i am sold on minelab

Was at the beach. Yes, it sputtered and chattered a bit but the signals were clear as a bell over the minor chatter.

Pulled an Indian Head, barber dime and silver ring from the iron ridden beach, along with TONS of sinkers and deep coins.

I was thinkng of selling the machine, but decided to keep it even if I don't use it much. For the sensitivity, fast recovery and abilty to hit deep, small targets, that set up with the WOT is great.

Sometime ago ( 10-15 years) Minelab made a detector called the Relic Hawk. It was supposed to be brutal in power and depth, but it was both large and heavy, using one of the gel type batteries. I have thought what that might look like today, and was surprised to find out that the Musketeer and the Relic Hawk ran on the same frequency- 5 whatevers. Gunnar has, knowingly or not, picked up on that idea. I would think that this combo could be a killer machine for relics. Let us know further what happens, cause this could be a sleeper of the first order...
