All I can say is WOW!!!!!!! at the old acaidian:detecting:

Again WOW!!!!

The 1820's acaidian is now producing some gems. All the easy stuff is pretty much recovered and now I'm in thick with the square nails and lawn mowered beer cans. The flat button pictured was found within 5 feet of the battle of New Orleans Navy button. I'm concerned about cleaning it more but what I can see so far is a British crown maybe and writing underneath it. At the bottom there looks to be a script "M". The back is tougher to read. Please help if you can identify it. The next picture shows my $850 - $1000 dime :super: This AU 55 to M60 1820 Large 0 dime was hidden in the nails (my oldest US mint coin found). I pulled 2 1/2 square nails out of the hole before I got this baby and left several other nails in there. When I saw that eagle on the dirt pile, I dropped everything and went to the creek. Almost had a heart attack - 1st thought it was an 1829 curl based "2". I'm just as happy with my 1st capped bust dime. My last 2 dimes dug out of this place, 1859 O in mint state and this dime, have covered the cost of my ETrac:yo: Another 1st for me is an 1848 large cent :wiggle: Never found one before and never thought I would down in the South. The front is more corroded then the reverse. I pulled out a large chunk of mangled up beer can before the large cent. Not pictured is a 1911 "V" nickel, bullets, about 50 pieces of mangled up beer cans and square nails. I'm using the TTF program and really working the iron and feel that my skill with this awsome detector is taking over the luck.

Thanks for looking and HH,

Kenny

That is one beautiful dime. :clapping: Keep hunting those old sites. As you've described, it ain't always going to be an easy hunt. But that is where skillful operation of the E-TRAC pays off. Congrats on an excellent recovery.

Awesome find Ken!! VERY nice dime!

Those are some super finds Kenny! I'm very gratefull you shared them with us. I would not be surprised at all if you pulled out another LC. I can't get over the detail on that dime. I'll bet you've been on cloud nine since!!!

Thanks for the great pictures!

Kenny, WOW,
Great finds. The Bust is in great shape. I am still looking for my first one. Beautiful 1859 also. Gives me something to shoot for.
