But then got an invite to go Dove hunting the the Lonesome Dove Ranch. The ranch is in old San Patricio Texas. A lot of early Texas history in this little town too. Had my Camera and forgot to take a picture of the inside of the club house. A beautiful house, full wrap around porch, all kinds of mounts on the walls. Big deer breeding area there too. Doves were flying great, limited out. A really great get away.
Then we where going today to go metal detecting, and a friend called me they limited out this morning on are dove lease so took out the metal detectors loaded the shot guns off to Mathis for another hunt, had another good hunt. Great weekend. Would have liked to gone Detecting, but got to go when the birds are flying. All it takes is one small front there gone for a couple weeks. Plus we spent over an hour talking about a place to go detecting, couldn't think of a place that might bring some silver. Things are slim down here when it comes to old silver coins,and the great finds you Northern Boys come up with. People want let you hunt old houses any more, or Private land.
