I had a lot of jumpy signals and couldn't get it to lock on a target, running sensitivity as low as 10 but still having problems, so i sent it back to Bart with intent of returning the unit. I got to thinking and i called Bart and asked him to check out the unit for me, he did and said it seemed to be performing fine, in the mean time i had been reading all i could and studying the E-book and came up with ordering the 5x10 DD 18.75 coil, put it on today and what a difference.. it WORKS GREAT!! The Ground Balance is running about 19 but i can up the sensitivity up to 22 with no problem.

The place i hunt has a lot of beaver tail tabs, i pulled just the tail at 10" it was a high sound but it has good depth.

Another lesson learned if it doesn't work for you there could be several reasons why not just that the detector isn't working, i would bet to say that most of the problems are user error, even us users that have a lot of hours in detecting still have to open our ears to others and learn..

Thanks again to Bart Big Boys Hobbies for being patient with me, i know there are other sponsors on this forum but Bart is #1 in my book

If you are getting a ground phase of 19 using a DD coil, no wonder the stock concentric didn't work well! As I stated in the eBook, if you have a ground phase number less than 28 when using the stock 9-inch concentric, you would be better served using a DD coil. Glad you got on track.

Yep, my 18.75khz 6" coil runs at full sensitivity at sites that my 7.5hkz is barely usable. I use it 95% of the time.
