Almost got Skunked on Silver!! Almost...

Hunted all afternoon at a new (old) school. The initial building was constructed in the 40s with a replacement built around 1980. The older building was then demolished. It was hard for me standing on site to try to remember where the older building stood. There were very few cues still remaining. There was one old sidewalk left so I hammered the area around there for several hours. I found 5 wheats so I knew I was in the right zone but silver remained elusive. As it was getting dark I found the little heart shaped charm which I initially thought might be silver but it turned out to be junk. Finally, it was dark and I told myself I would dig one more target. I got a 12.45 at 5in and dug it. It was a 48 Rosie on the last hole of the day. Whew!! It was so dark, I needed the light on the pinpointer to see in the hole!!

At some point during the day I also found that bent Exxon Club medallion as well as ~ $2.00 in clad...

nice :)
