Almost passed this one up!! Found a wheat penny the day before, so I headed out to the old ball field to look for some silver, but as luck would have it there was a game going on. Picked a second spot out, and halfway through the hunt I noted that I was hitting numerous nickels at or near the VDI 20 mark.

I usually dig the 18 -20 VDI and most of the time its nickel and sometines can slaw.

nice nice ring I just told the other post here in Ohio vid mxt 18 , 20 always nickel or ring i can hardly remember not getting a good item on 18 20 .!4,17,21,22,24,usually junk shredded can tabs aluminum foil.

I would dig lower VDI's than 18, take some small gold rings and air test them. I have some that come in at a VDI of 10 and 12.
