Alright Ed, Craig and Scott, At this time in 2 week we will be diggin Relics in Ole Virginnie. Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

are you allowed to dig up places that had a battle on it? i thought those places were restricted. i don't know all the rules, so please forgive me if i don't know.

.... although Brandy Station Battlefield park is in the general area of the DIV hunt, the hunt will be on privately owned land.

Eventually (sooner or later, depending on the economy) this land may be / will be sold off to a developer and roads / housing will be built burying the CW relics forever, never to be found or seen again.

You are indeed fortunate to be invited to participate in a DIV hunt which will produce a whole bunch of relics ... to those who use no discrimination and dig everything. After you see most all of what all is found displayed on Sunday afternoon, you'll truly appreciate the experience.

Some folks like Vernon, live in Virginia and have very limited permission to detect year around on some very PRIMO fields. Others , like me, have to rely on paid invitational hunts like DIV for the chance to find quality CW relics on sites unavailable to me without DIV.

Because I took up golf, Dangest game I ever tried. I enjoy it and hate it. But all that detecting has came in handy, I've found a bunch of golf balls that people don't go hunt. That should be a hint to where my hits end up. Really looking forward to seeing y'all again, been too long. Catch y'all there....Flipper out
