Am I crazy or what??

Woodstock

New member
Hey...I've had two Omega's and two T2's and with all this fantastic debate about which one is a better coin shooter I thinking about checking the T2's one more time...so I'm I just crazy about Tek's or what?? Heck, I even thought about going head to head with an Explorer again after I study the Minelab for a year, I'm I crazy or what? I guess I'm old and have nothing but time.... But this week I had the greatest time with my Omega ever and it brought me back to wondering about the T2's I've had and if I really gave them the opportunity to shine like I have my Omega. Even my two F75's (one the old and one the Ltd) has got me wondering about what we expect and what they can provide as a deep coin shootin' rig. I must be crazy but I've been thinkin' about seeing if anyone wants to trade me for a standard T2 or standard F75 to try them all over again...can anyone follow me? Or I'm I completely out of my mind with the diggin' deep fever? This hobby has got me by the hind quarters and they are all great machines...I just want to settle my mind which one I like best and hold on to it, does or do these feelings make me a hopeless addict to this great hobby or what? By the way anyone want to trade? :) Happy Trails to All of the Great Members Here!
And Happy Hunting Too! Woodstock

I think the Omega excels as a pure coinshooter for ease of use & accurate ID'ing of coins. That's what it was developed for. The T2 shines as a very good all around machine with a emphasis on relics & prospecting, but still a very competent coinshooter. Just not a dedicated coinshooter like the Omega.

Wont the omega also find the relics if you pass the coil over them? I had a delta and it found a lot of good relics......I now have a T2 but am thinking about trading it for an omega, How is the omega on jewelry?

Omega is an EXCELLENT coin machine. Great on small jewelery too. Only better coin machine is the Minelab Etrac but its $$$$.

So I guess I was suffering from "Deeper Beeper Fever" yesterday and feel better today. And my Omega still rocks! Thanks everyone for a good dose of reality cause it just the right prescription for what I was suffering from.

You are detector crazy like all of us :). I was thinking the same thing with the AT Pro. Was thinking I needed a deeper seeking detector to go with the AT PRO. 7" isn't bad on a dime in dry ground. Then came a heavy soaking rain and now the AT Pro gained 3" plus in depth in my mild ground. We are all aways looking for the next new detector that might do better. Oh and a new Garrett is coming out this fall. So something new to look at. We are all addicted and obsessed to metal detectors and detecting. Most of us are.

Yea Rick...it's fate I guess..and it's going to be good to see the new Garrett and the new Whites coming out soon as well. And having a good soaking rain generates a larger halo and that will always add inches to most any machine in the right hands. So you like my old AT Pro hey, it is a kick butt detector. The Tejon worked awesome as well but I got so used to tones that I became a Omega freak and I'm not looking back...not yet at least. But I know that the "Deeper Fever" will hit me again...and I'll be ready for it when it comes...........................HH, Woodstock ~ Jeff

I have an Omega and a F 75 LTD and use them both, just for different applications. Having had a T 2, F 75 and now a F 75 LTD, there is no question in my mind that these three detectors do go deeper then the Omega. As mentioned, though, the Omega far and away has the best id for coins. HH jim tn

I know your right Jim and thanks for the confirmation that they do "beep deeper". Now I feel that "deeper beeper fever" starting to set in again, maybe my only cure would be go through them again..one by one. This is getting to be a real problem..first I have the fever and then it leaves only to return after hearing those words T2 and F75...even MineLab triggers the fever...I guess I'm hopeless.
