amazing half dollar box today!

look at all them franklins! woohOOOO!
did one box of dimes, got 3 silver
two boxes of halves, box one was a skunk, box two had all the goodies! even a walker..........

you sure do well on your "hunts"
I one time brought home $600 worth of 1/2's and only got 3 or 4 silvers as I recall. I've tried this a few time but dont have much luck

I have a lot of skunk weeks........I don't post pics of that...lol

consistency is the key, I do 2-3 $500 boxes a week.......EVERY week! I have sorted about $18,000 this year already, and I have 603 silvers so far.

I sort them and dump the rejects as fast as I can, the more you can sort, the better the results! Plus with being unemployed it helps pay some bills!

go to the local bank and ask to buy a box of halves they will sell them ? And they take them back also, no problem ? You sure are doing great at it, steve in so az

Most of the time when I was doing this I would say 75% of the time the bank wouldnt even have any 1/2's or say we have 4 or 5 of them. Thats not 4 or 5 boxes but 4 or 5 singles

When I do get them I just take them to another bank.
Tomorrow Judy has an interview at a bank. maybe she will get it and find me a few silver coins?

you need to order your half boxes from banks you have an account with, most will not order for you unless you have an account. And never return them to same bank, you need a "dump bank" and a "supply bank"

otherwise you will get the same halves right back...lol

Nice collection of silver. Banks are a great source of all kinds of coins. Now is the time to really check out the bank rolls. People are starting to unload some of their collections for a quick buck.

I do want you all to know that all boxes are not like this. I have done 3 boxes of halves this week, plus loose one from tellers tray etc........all were skunks except this box, it is a hit and miss game, somedays your lucky, other days you strike out

I tried about 10 rolls of halves before with no success. I have asked several banks for the silver dollars and they don't have any. So how many rolls are in a box of halves and dollars? How do you get them? Great finds by the way!

That's the fun of the hunt. I do rolls from the bank. Never know what you are going to get. With the economy like it is, people are getting desperate. Alot of good stuff is showing up. The banks here in Connersville work with you quite well. They take back what you bring them. Alot of silver is starting to show up. I have found some really good wheaties in my penny rolls. Ones that are kind of hard to get from a dealer at a good price.
