Amazing little camcorder...

Pete in MI

Big Lot has a camcorder on sale for only $25 (was like half off). We drove to Gaylord (about an hours drive north to get to Big Lot) to buy one. Wasn't too impressed with color selection - all they had was black ones and one red one. Got a black one. (Wished now I would have gotten a couple of them). Didn't know how well it would work and figured if it was trash I didn't waste a lot of money on it.

It takes up to an 8 Gigabyte SD card. Had a couple small careds (128 and a 512 meg). The biggest of the smaller cards would only give 4 minutes of video recording time. Invest in an 8 GB card ($26.88 ) and it gives 2 hours plus of video at a low resolution (320x240) or over an hour and a half on high resolution (640x480).

I am telling you guys this because I am blown away by the recording quality and its small enough to film your detecting trips.

Was trying to find another link for data on this camcorder and find something strange....all the sites for the DV-150 show a picture that is not like mine at all. The DV-151 has a similar picture to what I have but still not the same.

Anyway if you can find the one from Big Lots for the $25 price tag you will have a great video camera. Have not used it for close ups - yet for like coins, etc, This does have a zoom feature to zoom in and out. It will even play the videos you make (they are .avi files). Heard it plays MP3s as well but haven't tried that feature yet...if it actually does or not.

Looks similar to the Jazz T-20 (still not the same).

I think Leelan will learn music at a very young age. He likes dancing to the music when he hears any kind of music.
