Seems an email came from me to me. SPAM of course. When I checked the properties and read where it came from I found the path it came from was the Albuqurque Coin Club dot org. Yep, the web has an Albuqurqe Coin Club and the email came from a Bob L who email addy is this:

coinshow@albuquerquecoinclub.org < coinshow@albuquerquecoinclub.org>

Now I don't pretend to understand how the coin club got my email addy, how hackers can steal or use someone else's email addy to send out spam or even how it can be sent supposedly from me to me.

I thought I'd be nice and let the guy (Bob) know his email is being used without his knowledge. The email I sent to him never made it....seems my ISP says my email to him is spam and would not send it.

Best I can do is block all the emails from the coin club who never did anything wrong I am sure. So I can't even let the guy know he is sending out spam since my ISP thinks I am sending out spam. What a world we love in

I have never been to that club so don't even know who my email address was there.

Oh well. Another day of interference by the devil.

some people have nothing better to do than mess with others! :( You are right Pete. Evil! :(

some low life was sending porno to me using my email addy! They had to be sending it to others also. That was with my old ISP and they called it spoofing. Some people get it off the lists on forwards. I got so frustrated I was ready to quit the internet. After a year or so they finally went away. I now have three accounts. One for general things, one for business things (like paypal, sending out resumes and receiving things like offers from tool companies etc.), and one for friends and family! No, problems yet! Praying for you bro'.

realize that Satan is always going to be after us but we have Jesus on our side then all will be OK - the Lord will see to that !! steve in so az

I honestly wish people would start using the "BCC" function of emailing when sending out mass emails. This way, you can send the same email to a bunch of different folks, at the same time, but the recipients never see the other email addys. I do that when sending out a little recipe newsletter that I do. If more folks would it, I think we'd see a decrease in spam

Of course, hackers can still hack into databases to get email addys.
