Last week,I learned I was going to be asked whethere or not I wanted to be on Church Council for 3 more years,need to know by this Sunday...I have been thinking about it,it always seems to happen we have council meetings(2nd Sunday of every month)when I have family goings-on,etc....Today on my way in to work;I said a prayer to HIM-I said"Please give me a sign whether or not YOU want me to do this"...He knows Im a sinner,and every last detail of my dark side-as HE does all of us-Sometimes,I feel SO unworthy,ya know??WELL-Not 30 minutes after I prayed,Charles Swindoll on Family Life Radio came on Insight for Living-I listen to him every day on my way into work at 2PM-His message said in part GOD uses all of us,saints and sinners that we are,as HE sees fit-WHERE and WHEN HE wants us-If you have a position of authority in ANY level in life;this should tell you how much the LORD really loves you-UNCONDITIONALLY-Knowing all your flaws(I call it the DARK SIDE);and still uses you to HIS glory"...I got to admit-I have complained to my wife about Council meetings interefering with other things I want to do;and STILL HE wants me to participate in running HIS Church....I remember back when I went to the Promise Keepers in May of'98(I accepted Jesus then);a co-worker made plans for me to go,and I hadnt told him whether I would go or not.When I found out about it;I WAS MAD
..My co-worker got right in my face,and told me"LISTEN-GOD IS CALLING YOU,THIS IS HOW HE WANTS IT-DONT TURN YOUR BACK ON HIM-THIS COULD BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE,YA NEVER KNOW!!"...HE is not thru with me yet-I think I know what my answer will be....
