I found this while helping a friend move some dirt near his house in an older town in Newfondland. It fell out of a bank, a slope of earth, near the harbour. I had been wanting to swing the site but never got around to it. Brass spikes are the only other objects I have found there, again by sight.
I figure it is 19th century English. 5 1/4" in length. In good shape, it has only had a light brushing. There is a faint pair of bands, up the shaft besides the raher clear bulbus band near the business end.
