Fathers Day
Posted 9 hours ago
It sure won't be the same this year. I miss dad very much. Brian misses his Poppy very much. I was blessed to have one of the best fathers possible.

Brian is just miserable. His bowels are shutting down and he can no longer have his formula because hIs body won't digest it. He is hungry but can't eat. All we can give him is small amounts of clear liquids with his meds but he has trouble keeping it down.

He is such a brave fighter but I fear he is in the last round. Brian refused to quit and wants to enjoy as much of what is left of his earthly life. During a short period that he was awake today he wanted to play basketball. But, we fear he will need to remain sedated to keep him comfortable. And that is what is most important.

We pray that the Lord will bless us with more time with him as long as he is pain free. Brian has amazed the entire hospice staff by his ability to overcome the extremely high doses of meds he is on. By all accounts, he shouldn't have been able to be coherent at all.

So, we aren't giving up on our brave warrior because he might just decide to beat this too. Lord willing.

Yes, Brian is a brave young lad and my heart goes out to him for remaining strong in faith through all that he has been through and is still going throug to be able to be with his family even longer than anyone has expected him to still be living! He is a witness to others that no matter how ill a person may be, there is still hope in our Lord Jesus Christ! We love you Brian and our prayers are with you, for God's will to be done in yours and your family's lives! Poppy is waiting for his loved ones to come home and he will be there waiting to welcome you in your spiritual body...which will be freed from all pain and sorrow! Just let go and let God take over your body and life, to do whatever is best for you and if it is to leave your mortality then reach up your arms to Him and surrender all that you have but if He wants you to stay longer per yours and your family's wishes than so be it and I pray for the easing of your pain by His completely healing you whether on earth or in heaven and giving you all His peace that passes human understanding! Keep the faith Brian, as Jesus loves you and so do we! Amen! Ma Betty
