Grabbed the Omega again this morning and opted to finish hunting the area that gave up the Barber quarter yesterday morning. Hunted around for a couple of hours before the 54 Washington showed up. It liked to blow my ear drums out. It was all of about 3," at most. That coin did surprise me as almost all the silver from this field has been Barber and older except for a couple of Mercs and 1 Rosie dime. Along the way I picked up a few pieces of clad and Memorial cents, 2 50's wheats and a nickel reading disc that I couldn't make out what it was until I got home and gave it a quick tooth brush scrubbing with soap and water and finally saw the date of 1911 and the V on the back. That one was about 5" as was the broken jack knife. I will work on it a little more to see if a name might show up. Ended the hunt with a couple of buckles and a 69 caliber minnie, of which I forgot to include in the picture. 11" dd coil, disc1, sen 99, d4 tones and gb in the low to mid 60's. HH all, jim tn
