New member
.............After much praying,soul-searching,and opinions;I have finally decided to sell my m/C,when I get it back, after the final divorce settlement.liz asked me "Is it because of what I said,'bout them making me nervous"???I told her "Well,it DID help me to decide,BUT-I am the ultimate one, that's decided..............WHY???I can be as careful as I can, doesn't mean that other folks in cars will be-and sometimes aren't.AND-all the time and money tied up in my back, don't want to take the chance.my personal Dr. told me"NOT A GOOD IDEA"- And he knows from experience, not just as a Dr,but a victim-He had to learn to walk all over again, after 6 months in a body cast, after a pick-up haulin a 5th wheel got him head-on,and HE was on a M/C:sad:Dr. told me"With that degenerative disc disease you have,any-ANY-wreck you have, and you fall off, will most likely result in your total and permanent paralaysis".....:yikes::sad:NO,THANKS-Ive got my metal detectors, and my memories from all my 45+ years of riding-And;I can STILL WALK.................AMEN..........................

"a mans gotta know his limitations"

Most definately sounds like a wise choice to me. I have never (that I can remember) told Travis he cannot do or buy something, but I did make sure when we married that he understood my feelings about motorcycles. Out of respect for me, he has never pushed the issue even though I think he would love to have one. Having a 4-wheeler is dangerous enough!!!! I feel like most MC riders are cautious and ride responsibly, but it's the idiots in cars that are unaware of their surrounding---other than their cell phones. GRR.

motorbikes and MC's since they were very young and do races, I think, as their father has a business like that painted on the side of his truck and takes them somewhere with their bikes & Mc's almost every weekend! Being 57 is still young compared to an ole gray mare like me....I'll be 76 in July and have never ridden a mortor bike or cycle but did ride a bicycle as a young child still at home on the farm! Cliff and I both rode it, which was a girl's bike given to us and the only one we ever had! I wore hand-me-down clothes too....actually some of the clothing and jeans that are worn now by many, look like I may have handed them on down to the kids today! Mom patched Cliff's jeans when there were holes but now the more holes and tears with fading they have the more they wear them! 'Tis a wierd world we live in for sure!  Ma Betty

Hey, that's probably a REAL good decision though considering your medical history... Hang in there.
