A little over night and early morning rain seemed to liven up a few more targets then has been the norm of late, for me this morning. Got in a nice four hour hunt with the temps in the mid 70's through out the hunt. After a couple of pretty quick pre 82 Memorial cents I got a nickel reading showing 4." That turned out to be a 1935 Buff. A wheat cent and a couple of clad dimes came along before I got a nice 84-86 reading that sounded great and that target was a nicely worn 1920 d Mercury dime from between 4-5" deep. Along the way I got 2 pieces of lead that appear to have been carved. One looks like an arrow head. Another wheat cent came to light and between the 2, 1 is a 1919 d and the other a 1927. Also dug what appears to be some inner workings of a pocket watch, a no value token and about 10' or so away from the token I dug the 1902 IH cent. It was 4" deep and bounced between 71-75. It was nearly totally on edge. Got a couple of more clad dimes and a nickel before I got a zinc reading, but showing a depth of 4." That turned out to be the rustic looking pendant. The stretch I was hunting this morning was within a few yards of a major street with power lines running on both sides of the street and the Omega had no emi issues what so ever. Had the 11" dd coil on with sen maxed, 1 disc., d 3 & 4 tones and a gb of 59. HH jim tn

Outstanding, Jim!
Nice finds...love that Buff, it sure is in good clean shape! It had to come out of the ground that way, cuz I know you have not had time to soak it! Most of the ones I find have that heavy red corrosion on them. Did the carved lead appear to be made from a CW bullet? Tell you that area near the tracks has sure been good to you!! Can't believe you haven't got it cleaned out by now!

Looking Forward To Your Post Tomorrow!!

It's only happened to me a handful of times in 25 years.........I have found a old marble. Yours looks sooo cool. The rest of the bunch is great too. I loved playing marbles as a kid.

That area, Terry, seems to have a lot of iron in it. I hunted pretty slow this morning, slower then norm anyway and just picked my way along. Actually the Buffalo did have about a 45 minute olive oil soak while I was cleaning some of the other finds. The Indian is still a little crusty, but appears to be in quite good shape, too. The smaller piece of lead looks like it may have had rings on it before being flattened and or carved. Can't tell for sure though. I was on the side that you were the other weekend, but further out from the tree line. Thanks, HH jim tn

Silver, Indian Pennnies and nickles are always nice to find..

My vision must be getting worse............I thought the green penny was a marble..........I feel like a Dufus.............lol
You probably musta been asking yourself............what is TerraDigger smokin?:)
And I do have very poor vision without my glasses on.

Hey, errors are easy to make.. No big deal.

I thought you perhaps were thinking the so called "rustic pendant" had a marble in it. I can identify with the eye thing. Actually, come to think about it, I haven't found a marble for quite some time. I had found quite a few on the housing site I was hunting, but none of late. Thanks, all. HH jim tn
