See that little chain at the bottom of the picture. It has 14K stamped on the end piece. It is gold. The rest, nothing left but copper. It was probably gold plated at one time. Someone got ripped. Not me as you can see from the pile. All but 76 cents (25 coins) was from a soccer field. The other was from the Land of the Juice Box Clan. It was fun to watch the game and :detecting: at the same time. One guy told me I wouldn't find anything, these were poor people (Hispanics). He doesn't know I ALWAYS find something. Heck, I found a quarter 2 swings after he said that. All together I found 75 coins for $4.64. and I barley scratched the surface.

Poor or not, the Hispanics love their gold!! Even the small children are draped in it!! Gotta love that!!

Ain't that the truth!!!
Problem is they don't lose it:rage:

It was a battery one. The buttons on the side are corroded.

I hate battery powered watches. Mine is powered by light ( any kind ) and never needs anything. I also have a Seiko that is kinetic powered but I rarely wear it.I've got several watches I have recovered. Some run some don't. I'm still waiting for that Rolex. :)

THey don't lose much else either. I've detected a few spots where they had a big doings of some kind and found squat. Mostly what they leave behind is tons of trash and debris. I went to a park one day after the weekend where they had a soccer game and the park was a mass of bottles, cans, plastic jugs, food wrappers, food boxes and containers, diapers filled with poop, piles of poop under the trees. You could hardly walk without stumbling over garbage of some type. I of course passed on detecting that one.

it's a Chronograph. They messed it up. Their policy is if they mess it up they don't take of it. Got to talk to a manager and said send it in. Timex didn't fix it but replaced for $49.98. Wally-World did pay for it. When I went to put it on the battery was dead. Called Timex and they sent me another brand new watch. I sent the dead one back in. Took about 5 weeks to get it all straightened out. The old wind-ups were cheap and you just threw them away.
