Anderson long shaft with Sovereign

Has anyone had any experience mounting a Sovereign on an Anderson long shaft? My thought is that I cal put slots in the arm rest, use a Velco strap at the arm in front of elbow joint, Mount meter to shaft ahead of handle. Mount control box behind elbow. Cut bleach bottle bottom out and put under mount to protect control box.

Any thoughts?
 
That's how I have my Plugger CF straight shaft setup, meter mounted on top the the handle, box reverse mounted behind my elbow... with the exception of the bleach bottle.
 
And that gives you what advantage over the standard straight shaft or hip/chest mounting? I simply use a zip lock baggie to protect the box on the beach from over spray.
