Andy always has a lot of great advice especially for the new comers. I think he left one out.... we all like our AT-A_BOYS and just dont expect the response we sometimes get. We need to remember this is a hobby not a competition. It is difficult for some who dont live in areas where BIG finds happen. We feel somewhat intimidated by the awesome finds of our peers. But anyone whose been doing this very long knows what research and travel can produce.... just never know. Change one setting or start digging different type targets and BAM amazing finds start happening. Also when you see the same people posting these GREAT finds.... its not luck. Consistency is what we all want.... that means skill especially when you are doing it in the same locations hunted to death. Andy is right about how many targets you dig an hour. Ive gotten more... but its in locations littered with clad or in those locations where i was digging everything. Hes also correct about generalizing your locations..... we arent the only people reading these posts. We are our own worst enemy when it comes to having public locations closed to us. Be selective what you post. Thanks Andy ..... another excellent post.

Hey Dew, You are right, the attaboys and wtg`s are great, especially if you hunt alone and no one see`s your stuff except your wife who don`t give a RA. But as a returnee to this hobby, I come here to and read and post for the knowledge I gain and the thrill of seeing what everyone who shares are finding. Like I told Bryce, if I had had this resource in 86-92, I probably would have never strayed from detecting. Thanks for your pots, I enjoy them. Randy

I keep telling my wife im building her a retirement plan. The first 10 years she thought i was nuts and still does on occasion. But... bring in a ring or two worth something and she starts to ask... what did you find today? I dont post a lot of my finds for various reasons... the biggest i think im lazy haha. But i sure enjoy seeing all the interesting things dug up especially this time of the year.
