In Genesis 11 we find the record of an experiment in community building that did not meet with God's approval. When, after the worldwide Flood, the descendants of the original survivors decided to stick together and build a city with a huge tower in the southern part of what is now Iraq, God was extremely displeased. Good post, SeniorSeeker! The Israelites became fat and lazy when they had it good under Jehovah God and started doing things their own way. When we have plenty we seem not to lean on or trust in Him, but when we are hungry and in need of many things, we then turn back to Him! That's what every true Christian should do today is to call out to God in prayer to forgive us and heal our land! The nation who forgets Jesus is due to fail and fall from His grace! May we each cry out and ask forgiveness for what our nation has become....greedy, evil and wicked! Also, other gods are worshiped in America instead of the One and only true God, Jesus! Amen!
