ANOTHER 1ST SILVER COIN

Finally, The first silver coin. Silver rings are beating the silver coins right now at 4 to 1. It was nice to find. I found 3 wheats also here. It seems to be in nice shape too. The back is as nice as the front and the ridges on the side are still pretty sharp. It was only about 2 inches down. 1940 S . I hope their is more to follow. I only dented the area here.

If you found that beauty at 2 inches then there are definately some nice ones still left in the area! Good luck and I hope to see some more silver from you soon :)

That is a pretty decent looking Merc. Just wait until you find then in the 20's like that and then you will be really thrilled. Good Luck with your spot.

I noticed something in the picture I dont see on other coins. If you look by the T above the back of the head. It looks like a die break because of the line. Is that considered a mis hit. The book I have does not show that mark to be their. And on the coin the silver is pushed out a little. Just odd knowledge to pass along. I sure wish it was that CSA belt buckel. If that buckle could talk , eh!
