:ausflag:45 dollars AUD is about 40.50 USD. Found at the local Cricket pitch high on a hill overlooking the oval. The Aussie 1 dollar coin reads about 62-64 and a screwed bottle top reads about 64-65 most the time,so I do dig some of those as well. A $1 coin normally rings a bit "sweeter" and a screwed bottle top can be a bit jumpy if it has been squashed. Good luck all you Americans its coming into your spring so I hope to see some nice pics soon :ausflag:

looks like ya had a productive hunt-lots of digging /refilling.I was in Perth back in'75 while stationed on board the carrier Coral Sea-its quite place-lots of beach to hunt

The F2 is a dandy detector, I use mine some, works good, dig many coins in the 8 and 10 inch range, and have dug some relics at 10 and 12 inch, it will hit on larger stuff lke big buckles and cans at around 20 inches, I figure that is good enough, and the ID and depth readout is good to around 6" and runs about 80% on actual accuracy, just can't justify spending another $1,000.00 to dig the same depths with the same rewards, I'm gonna dig it anyway=but for $200.00 hard act to follow, I have other detectors for water and gold, F2 is allright, not perfect-but allright-now this is MY F2=what others do I dunno-really don't care:fisher:

Just got an F2 this Christmas and had it out about 10 hours now at the local high school.

It's my first VDI machine and I'm tickled pink when It reads a quarter before I even dig it.

Seems to ID best at around 4" or less but can "see" a quarter at 12+ pinpointing (air-testing) w/ the 10" coil.

My old machine is a Tesoro Cutlass2 from 1991 and it found it's fair share of silver and an old Civil War era
Eagle Button (back in Idaho, no less).

Can't beat the F2 in this price range.
