I had a dr appt. but canceled and made it another day....just too much rain coming down with water everywhere! I have COPD and Arthritis so don't need to be out in bad weather and be suffering more! Pain pill helped but now it seems it doesn't so much and I feel dopey most of the time and one day, I had the shakes so badly and itching, that I think I may be allergic to Darvocet, although they filled the prescription with a Generic Brand!

Hope all are doing okay and able to detect, for I believe with all this rain that cold weather is coming and I will have to bring my house-plants in from outside......Before they Freeze! :) God Bless! Ma Betty
 
Could you please send some of that rain our way.

Thermometer on my back porch read 89 degrees this afternoon. I think some of that was due to reflected sunlight and heated concrete, but we sure could use some rain.

Hope you feel better Ma Betty, gona say some prayers just for you.

Looks like we are going to have rain or wet white stuff the next several days!
 
Hope you're feeling better soon, Ma. Seems like it rains here about 80% of the time since August, but I hear that we are supposed to get some sunshine tomorrow - finally.

Thank you all! I felt terrible when I got up this morning but that isn't unusual....so I don't think the Darvocet is helping me now...but eases the pain but not the sick feelings! May God Bless you for your prayers everyone and I am really thankful that I have such wonderful and loving Brothers and Sisters in Christ, who encourage and pray for me! Tough getting older, but even tougher when a person isn't well.....which seems to be too many people hurting in one way or the other and low finances, too! But keep faith in God, for He has and will see us through all things by honoring and glorifying Him in Jesus' holy name! Amen! :angel: God Bless! Ma Betty
 
horrible weather here today as well, I am off all week was hoping to detect all week but I guess it is not gonna happen!
 
Your time for detecting again will come, so be patient and enjoy Thanksgiving Day with your family and friends or by yourself....like I will be! The weather doesn't always co-operate but the soil will still be there to hunt when you are able to do so! :) God Bless! Betty
 
Well, I can't read too much any more because of my weak eyes! I do watch TV and listen to the radio stations (Christian and good movies or shows....which is difficult to do)! I watched the Parent Trap again with Haley Mills playing twins with Brian Keith and Maureen O'Hara! I really liked them in the movies.....not used to all these newer actors and singers and their R and X-rated or gory stuff! I may be older but I sure didn't miss having this awful crudy stuff when I was young or younger! Bring back the 50's and 60's movies when men were men and women were women and dressed that way! Loved the clothing then.....I remember wearing dresses like they wore but of course I had a more attractive figure then!! After all I graduated in May of1953 at the age of 17....became 18 in July that year and was already working for a living at $100 or $150 a month....only got paid twice a month, so was cheated out of some money per year! :unsure: :biggrin: Have a nice visit and trip back home to Tucson! Pray that you get to feeling better soon. Old Arthur seems to act up when it gets cold. Mine is doing the same. I did not get my house plants in in time and I think the last cold snap got them. I trimmed them down and put them in the basement. Hopefully they will come out of it. Good thing they were not Joans. I would be in the dog house big time for that.
 
Well, if they had been hers, then she would have been responsible for taking care of them and getting them in from the cold! I've got more pots of plants in my house now! I guess they will survive, if not than I won't worry about it and just plant some more when I want them! ;) My potted palms are about to take over the Living Room! :) God Bless! Ma Betty
