I believe her mate was killed by a car a few months ago as she ought to be sitting with her kits right now while the old man does the huntin'. It does not look like she has a litter this season.
 
I'm using a Nikon 8800. She was just out my back door at about 50 feet and I used the standard lens and 10X zoom to get a bit closer.
