Another Early Silver thanks to the T2

The Silver coin is a Silver Penny from the Reign of King John of England. The coins of Richard 1st and John still have Henricus in the legend. instead of their own names. This coin dates A.D.1208 to 1218 probably near to the later date. The other coin is a copper AS of Antoninius Pius A.D.138/161 the reverse side is shown which has sacrificial instruments .Unfortunately the obverse has lost its patina so is not good.

You really find some neat and old stuff. If I ever got out of the 1800's on a coin, they would have to carry me off the field. Well done. HH jim tn

Nice looking old coins. I live here in Cincinnati, wonder if i might have to leave Ohio to find old coins like that. I'm hoping the rummers of old pirate ship wreck's in the Ohio river are true. Tom
