Another forum brings up a new question (sand)

A response at another forum brings up a new question for me to try and find an answer for. If I plan on using a detector only in south Florida and its all sand east coast to west coast then can anyone suggest the best model for use in sand? Not just fresh and wet beach sand but inland sand as well.

That could be a near imposable question to answer. What one considers best, another would consider poor.

Just about any VLF Discriminating detector will do what your asking. For the most part Florida is mineral free, making detector operation easy.

It sounds like your just starting out detecting, (no disrespect), and you would most benefit by paying a visit to your local metal detector dealer. Not only could they inform you of what is working well in that area, they also would be able to help you in setting up your detector.

$cash$ is also another consideration I'm sure. One can find a good operating unit starting at about $200.

Good luck

Discovery 3300
Only $200 and it outperforms other machines and has more features and options.

And I am also in Miami Florida.
