Another good day knocking doors

a buddy of mine drove down here from Toledo to hunt with me wed. afternoon. He wanted an indian penny real bad and I told him we would go knocking doors and try to find him one at an old yard in town.

House #1 owner said sure no problem, almost the first coin my buddy dug was an 1902 indian, he was thrilled like a kid in a candy store. I managed several wheats, 1960 silver Washington, undated buffalo, and the ring. I thought it was silver but it has no marking. My buddy got some wheats the indian and part of a gold pocket watch.

on to house #2.......owner once again said go ahead. There I got more wheats and the 1909 barber dime, it was just a "blip" of a signal, if I had not been going real slow I would have missed it. It was standing on edge about 3" deep. Pretty good day once again with the etrac

Very nice haul GFE, door knocking is a good thing and can pay off big time. Have you ever brought a extra detector with you and asked the property owner to join you? You just may get some more leads on some spots to hunt.

What a rewarding day for you guys ! That ring sure does look like gold, better test it before putting it away. I never have had any luck asking at doors, just not a salesman I guess :) Steve in so az

I like the buffalo , I have not found one of those in a long time.

well the ring came up at 12-43 12-44 right in the silver range for the etrac, and tested the same out of the hole too

Congrats to you both on the nice finds! A very good day indeed! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Dateless coins are why they stopped the Buffalo Nickels, I think. Wanted to get out today but was under the weather.

Love those old coins

They also changed the Standing Liberty Quarters because of the dates wearing off too soon.....the later quarters' dates didn't wear off so easily! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
