Well yall know what I've been through for the last 2 1/2 years. One femoral arterry operation and 4 skin graphs. Five Hospital stays. Well, I thought I just about had it beat, but I had one small wound about the size of a dime that refused to heal and close. Well, I finally got another bad infection in that and it is killing off the skin and has gotten bigger and deeper. Besides that, I must have scratched a place at the bottom of the old skin graph that had been perfectly healed for over a year, and some how transfered the infection to that area also, so that now it has opened 3 new wounds in an area about the size of a silver dollar. So now I have 2 separate infected areas. My leg is also swolled around my anle up to my calf, and red around the 2 separate wound areas. Not Good. They have to bring me in to the Hospital again now. The Dr. is estimating another 14 day Hospital stay, which will include two separate skin graphs and at least two operations. Then there's the two months plus of watching the graphs, taking out the staples, and having the Nurses come by 3 times a week. And then praying, everything goes alright. I'm really scared this time although. If the infection is untreatable, I could lose my leg, or worse. I have to go in this coming Tues., the 12th., and will be there at least 14 days+. This will be the 6th serious Hopital stay. I'm about to give up on ever going hunting again, but right now my real worry is not loseing my leg. I hardly have the will power to go through all this again, but I have no choice. Say a prayer for me guys, I'm going to need them.
