Another Large Cent today

Don in SJ

Member
Went back to my gristmill site and got my 5th coin from this hunted out site and another design button and probably the oldest and neates suspender buckle I have found. Think it is the first one with the spikes like the shoe buckles had in the 1700's. Also another design button, think I have its twin from an earlier hunt there and I got my weekly Whatisit relic. :)

Time to take a break from wood's hunting once the hot weather comes.

Don, are you sure that's not a saddle buckle? Depends on the size. Nice finds as always. I grew up in NW Jersey, lot's of old places, I mean oldest places, you must be having a blast, I predict a Fuggio cent or a pine tree shilling for you by years end. I think it's time for me to go visit my mom in Jersey, she's still lives there. Do you think you can remove the ever so many radar shooting police before I come out though? Good luck to you.
