Another little silver day at the beach today...

Magyar

It was another pleasant , slightly windy day at mid-afternoon ; very enjoyable for detecting at that "ancient " beach which was flooded out in the 50's

the "merc" dime is a 1944

The two coins to the left are "buffalos"...pitiful condition though they be -it was still exciting to find them

the coin on the right is the worst condition of a non-silver Roosevelt dime that I have ever found...and I have found some dimes in terrible condition.

thanks for looking..

I'll clean and shine the coins and repost..

the remnants of memorials... so badly decomposed it's hard to believe they were pennies at one time :) The silver fairs a little better but the sand sure wears them down. Nice digs!

Mike, do you mean a cent that has been cut in half by the ocean and rocks ....or the really old half cent coins?

I have found plenty of split" memorials " I just throw them away,

when we find silver coins in the inland lakes they are black also. The crust flakes off sometimes easy, then we have to use a little paste to shine them.
