Another Milestone and Another Rung

Today I hit the break even point with my rechargeable batteries. That also includes the cost of the charger so next set the break even point will come a lot quicker. Here is the amazing part. 191.5 hours. 73 hunts. Exactly 5000 clad coins! Not one more, not one less. Clad total for that period was $554.94. I started with rechargeables on 4/21/08.

Onto today's digs. I was already to come home and make the post that I never seem to find a ring on Friday. Last target was the 925 pentacle ring. Witchy isn't it? Also of note the big "diamond" bracelet which was my second target of the day. I sure wish it was real. Zinc cent with a hole in it and a Chuck E Cheese token from 1994. My first for that chain. Also an nifty old hose nozzle.

71 clad coins. Oh yeah I passed 2000 dimes for 2008 too.

CONGRATS on your milestone:please:Things have been really slow for me, been hunting old yards in search of old coins. Guess I"ll have to get back on the clad wagon. I have yet to hit 1000 coins but I'm getting close.

Title should read Another Ring as you might have suspected. I keep thinking I need to get back to some of my silver coin sites. I know one of them has been discovered by a fellow treasure hunter. He called me to tell me he found a silver Rosie there. I get hung up on clad and jewelry too easily. I keep forgetting that digging history is fun too. Although, every once in a while you find something really old at a more modern site.
