Another "moral dilemma" story from Treasurenet...

There is a story on their website under the Best of Treasurenet that talks about flight 624 I believe it is-it had Hollywood stars, and higher-ups on it-Flying from L.A.to I think New York- I believe it was in Pennsylvania it crashed around 1940;;and a couple of guys got written permission to detect the site for a year recently...They found PERSONAL items-Im talkin things like gold teeth;silver coins;jewelry (rings and others)documented to belong to some of these Hollywood people...I just cant shake the feeling in this case that they are diggin up a gravesite-Legal according to man's laws;maybe- BUT;what about respect for the dead??I have been asked in the past if I have ever detected old grave-yards-NEVER HAVE;NEVER WILL....Beside;there are laws against that...YEARS ago,I seen somebody detecting an old cemetary down near Dryden;Mich. This was LONG before I had a detector.I thought then how wrong that was to do that.DIGGING HOLES IN CEMETARIES??Even if it WAS legal,if anybody's gonna do that;you can count me out...check out that story over on Treasurenet;Im pretty sure its still there...

those who do things like this also have no respect for the living. Something they also don't have is respect for God...and fail to realize God is no respecter of persons.

I would never hunt a grave yard! I have however hunted Civil War battle sites, (on private land with permission) and figure that men fought and died there. I have also read stories where a man sometimes finds a WWI or WWII dog tag, and they return them to the family. Where someone dies is different than where they are laid to rest I think. Just my thoughts.

Alot of the things found have come from the dead or ones that were there. The only time I think something like this is disrepectful would be if it offended one that was alive.
