Another "vintage" detector still being produced....the Saxon SM45.As simple as it gets but still highly capable,particularly in amongst the iron.The best single frequency machine ive ever used on wet salt sand.....brilliant in trashy harbours with awesome discrim.A bit of a cult machine over here.It's only a single tone machine but we have to dig ally over here anyway to avoid missing small hammered coins.
It is built like s brick shithouse,even the stem tightening nuts are knurled aluminium and will outlast anything but most would not give it a second look......it would need a screen,20 programs and 50 tones to get any attention lol.

I don't think it's been tested.These detectors are only available to order as far as I'm aware and are fairly uncommon.I don't think those that own them like to part with them either so probably hard to get hold of to do a test on.What I can say though is they are not depth monsters but are good solid machines that are simple to operate and do well on iron infested sites.They have good discrimination characteristics being able to knock out big iron but maintain sensitivity to small silver coins.Great machine if you just want to switch on and go without worrying if you are in the right mode/program etc.
