I got a really great deal on a like new omega,i had mentioned this before but have not had a chance to use it. It is a version 4 with the 11"dd coil. Does anyone have any idea what kind of depth i might get with it on coins? Also could you give me your opinions in general on the version 4. Thank you

My version 4 in certain places had some emi issues. But more often then not it didn't. As far as depth with the 11" coil, no problem hitting dimes size targets in the 7/8" depth range and with careful listening, a little deeper. A great silver coins finding detector. HH jim tn

I dug 17 dimes with my Omega version 4 the other day using the NEL Sharpshooter 9.5 X 5.5" DD coil. The dimes seemed to be jumping out of the ground. lol! Most were over 6", some at 8" with one being a solid 9". This is with sensitivity at 70, 4 tones. GB phase was mid 50's at this school so it was fairly good ground. I hit the nickels at 5-6" and quarters at 7-8". I don't know why some want to specify the Omega as a "coin machine". In 2 tone or all metal it will work just fine on relics, etc...Great machine glad to own it!

Yep Jim is right............. Omega 8000 is a really nice coin machine..........

You will be surprised at the results your going to get... I sold mine to get in on the Great Turkey Hype....... Now it's gone, and so is the Turkey machine LOL

I never learn !!!!

Now your ready for the 8500 Elton! I don't care if the iron audio, vbreak, adjustible notch, boost, or whatever else they add to it.
