First I want to apologize for not being very active on the forum but my new job has been very demanding. I come and visit as often as I have time.

I would like to ask for help for a good friend of mine and detecting buddy. My friend Brian was out detecting today and it was really windy in the woods.
As far as freak accidents go this is a new one to me. A large limb blew off a tree falling directly on Brian breaking his neck and causing some severe vertebra damage, internal bleeding and partially paralyzing him. He was able to make it out of the woods and had help looking for him because of his cell phone. He is now being flown a few hours south to a more advanced hospital for surgery on his vertebra and spinal column. I have often seen request for prayers on this forum and hoped I would never have to ask for one but please keep my friend and fellow detectorist Brian in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days.

limbs hanging in trees waiting for the right breeze to knock them down. When in the woods one has to be real careful...danger could be at your feet, between feet and top of your head and with widow makers...over head.

Recently we had a tree fall on top of a car filled with 5 people. It crushed the roof of the car - destroying it. All occupants were safe. The trunk of the tree that landed on the car was about a foot thick!

Praying for Brian's healing and quick recovery from the surgery and etc.

Dear Jesus, Please move upon Brian and with Your healing virtue touch his neck and vertebrae and by Your stripes that he will be completely healed with no signs of paralysis! Have mercy on Brian and his family! I know you heal either on earth or in death, but please spare him and help his family to have him with them for a long, long time in earthly life! Please give comfort and strength to him and his loved ones and friends to have Your peace that passes all human understanding! Thank You, Lord! Amen!

Prayer completed.

As Pete said they ARE widow makers, the worst part is you never hear or see them coming. Just out of high school I was falling some large trees and as I was walking out of the woods at the end of the day, something (the Lord) stopped me and made me step back; a 4 inch diameter limb about 20 feet long struck the ground exactly where my next step would have been. Thank you Lord for sparing my life.

God is amazing and when we stay aware and with Jesus, we will be warned and spared death or pain! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for sparing Mark's life from being hurt badly or dying! You are our All in all!
