Another Ring and Dead ATP :(

JoshuaA

New member
Found a cheap ring....I think its a mood ring. Needless to say the ATP finally died...it was a very very sad day as we have FINALLY got some sun here in the great Pacific Northwest....I know the rest of the country has been 95+ but this was the first weekend its been nice in some time. So i was in the water on Saturday morning and the ATP sprung a leak...it had a little bit of water under the faceplate about a week ago but it evaporated. This time, the water was under the faceplate and then it made a really strange sound and that was it....she quit. I contacted Garrett and off to Texas tomorrow....getting fixed and upgraded :) Should be back to hunting in no time...THANKS GARRETT!!!

[size=large]whats sad is tomorrow the sun is suppose to shine for a few days in a row in our area. where're you at Joshua?

Widebody and I are below you at the Mouth of the Cowlitz......From what the rest of the country is having, our little part of the world is staying nice and cool....sloppy wet a bit but no heat stroke so far.

Hi Josh! I too live in the Tacoma area. I was looking at the AT Pro and the MXT Pro. I decided to go with the latter. It comes in this Tuesday and I can't wait to try it out. I've never detected before and so I'm real anxious. The AT Pro is supposed to be "waterproof" and not just "water-resistant." Moisture in the unit should of never happened. Keep us informed on the possible cause of that as I will probably buy a "waterproof" unit later on as I grow in this hobby. Hope to see you out and about during our detecting ventures.

Welcome to the hobby! You will be addicted in no time...there are some pretty good places to hunt there in Tacoma....can't wait to get my machine back so I can get back out there :) I will post what the issue is with the leakage if Garrett provides me details....I am very confident it will come back better than ever :)

Mine was a leaker also. I sent it back to Garrett and it was repaired and got it back and then got rid of it.
