Another sand shark question

I am purchasing a Sand Shark unit and would like to use it while snorkeling, has any one used these this way? Any tips or pointers that you might suggest? Thanks in advance.

I have not snorkeled with a detector. Would think the settings would be about the same as you would set up for wading in the water (see a few posts down about some Sand Shark settings).

Here is a link from the beach and scuba forum with a video of snorkeling with a detector, although it is not a Sand Shark.

I would say hip or chest mount the control box and shorten the shaft by removing the center section.
