I have an Etrac coming next week. The colonial site I hunt has dried up again thanks to the Safari . Unreal how many pewter buttons I found from a site loaded with iron and spanked with those fine fast processing F detectors. Let see how the trac fares. More to follow.

Can't wait to see if the E-Trac can clean up after the Safari. Seeing your finds posted here made me want the Safari enough to buy one a couple of weeks ago. I am having a tough time understanding the language of the deep "iffy" signals, but I'll get the hang of it in time.

Everyone hears sounds a little different. I have been blessed with the ability to hear the slightest change in pitch. This comes with 40 years of practice using non-metered machines. I never dug one nail with the Safari unless I wanted to. If you hunt relics and don't want to miss small non-ferrous targets just select coin and jewelry mode, discriminate -10 to-6. These will now null. Dig all low tones and high tones over 0. High tones from -5 to -1 have been iron. The Safari never wavered. It is one fine, simple to use detector. To get the most depth use as much manual sensitivity and less discrimination. Good luck.
