Another unusual day with NH Bob

Did some digging with Bob today....unusual thing was I found a big button looking thing and he came over to check it out...he had a target before he came over...but decided to come and see first.....on his way over to me he had a good hit....but he left his digger in the ground at other target....when he left from loooking I told him to go dig his nickle....but he said other target was better sounding...I asked him to wait and I wanted to try and ID it for him....It was just like the button thing I dug and told him it is either another button or a clad dime or penny.....it was the same button thing....he has to copy everything I do......geesh.........the toy gun I thought was a silver dime.....it still works and has a safty lock so it won't go off on accident? LOL......the plastic bullet was shoved in the barrel........and now for the Big ring find......I forgot to show bob....cause I thought it was just another copper ring.....but when I got home and cleaned it...I saw some initials on it....it looks like GW...but not sure yet......I need to stick in some battery acid and give it a good cleaning.....will post later on that.....

Cool finds................:clapping: I really like that toy gun. One thing that I have noticed lately is that I haven't been finding any toy cars like the Tootsie cars. Could be I am being a little more discrimative about what I dig and just passing them up. In my early days of detecting I was digging just about everything. Wouldn't it be nice if Mainelab made a detector that could actually tell us just what lies beneath our coils............ Again, nice finds. HH.

just for me.....he seems to always find what I find......hence these things at an old cellar hole....I found one and he found the matching one that hooks to it.....Jules was there that day.....he found a nice GAR buckle.....

That day I had numerous targets looking like dimes, quarters, possible silvers...and they where other things like lead, bolts, etc...digital #'s and curser location mimic was the same....thats the best it can do, and I dig it all....any old place I dig, I dig all but solid iron targets....you never know what is going to come out of the ground, and tootsie cars can be one of them.....the vast aray of coins from modern to oldies can be great...along with gold and odd things like old toys and cars, old ringer bullets, etc....digging it all will find you the most unusual stuff.

When I asked Bob if his e-trac had found any silver yet and he said no, I said come over here cause this is a silver dime....and I pulled out the toy gun, we both laughed....we were at an old house dating back to 1700's and the whole time I was getting possible silver dime quarter....it was not the case....very frustrating but thats how it is....wheats were there but thats it....mostly 40's....the yard had to have been filled at one time....
