Another Whopper!

Well, this past weekend my TDI scored again, big time! These were found by an experienced detectorist but first time TDI user. The small ones were between 6 and 10 inches deep using the 9x5 loop. Each was about half a dwt. each. But the big one was only about 2 inches deep and it's 6.3 dwt! A whopper of a slug.
I hunted there the next day and found nothing - figures. Looks like this little patch is just about cleaned out. We'll have to expand out and try to pickup the thread of the run into the next bedrock outcrop.

Hey Digger,

Looks real good.
I see the "experienced detectorist" got healed enough
to swing a stick again. Looking forward to getting
together again.

Yeah, barely healed. His left arm is still worthless. He has to swing and dig with his right arm only. Oh, and where we got all this gold... you've been there before. Unfortunatly, you were working with a broken detector and it was freezing, remember?
