WONDERING IF ANYONE IS USING THE 9X12 COIL.....IF SO HOWS THE DEPTH ,PINPOINTING,AND TARGET SEPARATION....THANKS

I have been using the 9 x 12 coil for most of my hunts so far. It gets good depth, is real sensitive to tiny objects. As far as pinpointing, I use the center of the coil for deeper targets and the inner toe of the coil for shallow targets. Both ways to pinpoint are right on! I use my machine mostly for water hunting and coin/ring hunting, and it is not as hot on bottle caps as the DD coil is. Because of it's size, I can quickly hunt a large sports field in considerable less time then the smaller coil. That is also important to me, because of my hunting preferences. The DD coil will probably punch deeper in mineralized soil and is probably better for relic hunting. My soil is pretty neutral around here &the 9 x 12 concentric coil works great for me.

John how does the 9x12 coil handle compared to the stock DD as far as weight and balance?

Thanks and HH,
Brian

The difference in weight is very minimal. I really don't notice any difference at all. I am used to swinging the GTI 2500 & Infinium which are a lot heavier.
