Any chance that new 15" coil will be produced for the F5/Omega and the Goldbug/G2 later in the year?

I was thinking I could dump my Cleansweep and replace it with this coil. They are both heavy. I think the one I got now weighs 1.8 pounds. Puts the Golden at 4 pounds total weight (1.8 + 2.2). The F5 total weight would be 5 pounds (3 + 2). Probably closer to 5.5 or 6 pounds if I counter weigh it with a shaft extension to take the weight off the nose and move the balance point back to the hand grip area.

Just thinking.

Not to play naysayer, as I do think it will be a great accessory for open areas, but I was just thinking that the F series Fishers get touted as "best ergonomics" in the hobby. I know when I added the big, round 10.5" or 12" coil to my old Fisher's, that really made them abnormally front heavy & unbalanced so I always hipmounted units like the CZ's & C$ to compensate (or get through with my shoulder intact hunting the UK dawn to dusk for a week). :) If the new coil is really that much heavier, like those old ones, hopefully that doesn't throw the nice F-balance off too much. But, for a hardcore relic hunter looking for a couple more inches depth, I'm sure they will roll with whatever balance they get..... ;)

Never used the 15" coil on the F75 but I have used them on other detectors without too much trouble on the balance.
If anything the extra weight pulls the head down and forces the arm cup more tightly into the lower forearm and keeps it there which gives a better grip mitigating much of the extra weight.
I will certainly buy one if and when they become available.
