Dug 3 of these near an early 1800's church, then drove about 15 miles to the site of an old civil war era hospital, and dug 2 more! After the first 3, I figured there must have been some reenactors out doing their thing, but after finding them at the second site, I'm a little confused. Obviously relatively modern, only 1 shows a headstamp, and all but 1 are jagged around the bullet end. I'm fairly certain they are blanks, but why on earth would I be finding them at two different sites so far apart? All were dug at 2-3 inches.
